I realize that it's been like.....forever since I last posted. No, I haven't forgotten about it. When I decided to undertake this venture I didn't take into account that Spring is one of the busiest times of the year for me. So again, I apologize for not keeping up with blogging. This weekend I'll try to get back on track...I hope. In the mean time, hopefully these will appease you until then.

These are from another concert by Zach Caddy and Madi Walker, this time at Hebrews Coffee.

Word of Week-Joy

I realize that it has been two weeks since I last posted; I apologize for this. Life caught up with me these few weeks.

I had two suggestions for the word joy this week so I went with it. This shot was taken the night before this couple's wedding. After the rehearsal, I took them outside and got this one shot right before the sun dropped out of the sky.

Whether this conveys joy or not is for you to decide. Any thought?

Joy:
1.
the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation: She felt the joy of seeing her son's success.
2.
a source or cause of keen pleasure or delight; something or someone greatly valued or appreciated: Her prose style is a pure joy.
3.
the expression or display of glad feeling; festive gaiety.
4.
a state of happiness or felicity.

Word of the Week-Loneliness

I shot this at a coffee shop downtown while attending a concert featuring artists Zach Caddy and Madi Walker. So without further ado, I give you Loneliness....

Loneliness:
1. Being without company, cut off from others.
2. Not frequented by human beings.
3. Sad from being alone.
4. Producing a feeling of bleakness or desolation.

Word of the Week-Persuasion

This week's word is persuasion. Now, I ended up not having as much time to work on it as I intended. I had to do it at the same time I was doing some other photography so it's not as up to par as I would have liked. Anyway, here it is......

Persuasion:
1: The act of persuading or the state of being persuaded.
2:The ability or power to persuad.
3:A strongly held opinion; a conviction.
4:A body of religious beliefs; a party, faction, or group holding to a particular set of ideas.

Word of the Week-Reflection

Today marks the beginning of an idea that I've been kicking around for a long time. In an effort to make this blog more interactive for my readers.

I am calling my idea, "Word of the Week." Each week, anybody can submit any words they want in the comment box. I will pick one word for the week and attempt to depict that word through a single image or series of images.

Reflection:
1.the act of reflecting or the state of being reflected.
2.an image; representation; counterpart.
3.a fixing of the thoughts on something; careful consideration.
4.a thought occurring in consideration or meditation.

These picture were taken at our national cemetery. The tombstones of American soldiers, from the civil war till now. Men and Women who have given theirs lives for our freedom.
